Wallpaper* Tweet Life
At this year's Multiplied Contemporary Editions Fair, Christie's, Wallpaper* and award-winning photographer Chris Floyd are offering visitors the chance to become part of a unique, Twitter-inspired artwork that will be featured at Wallpaper.com.
Entitled Wallpaper* Tweet Life, the project is inspired by the work of photographer Chris Floyd.
Intrigued by the way that social media has revolutionized the way we communicate, keen Tweeter Floyd embarked on a year-long portrait project by meeting, engaging with and photographing a selection of the people he follows on Twitter, resulting in an exhibition, "One Hundred and Forty Characters by Chris Floyd." The 140 images of Chris's Twitter friends include a number of well-known faces: singer Lily Allen, writer and broadcaster Caitlin Moran and internet entrepreneur Jimmy Wales.
With almost 500,000 Twitter followers, Wallpaper* (with the help of Christie's, Chris Floyd and with many thanks to Hewlett Packard) has decided to take the concept a step further and photograph its own followers during Multiplied. Wallpaper* and Chris Floyd's pop-up, photographic studio will be at the show from 14-17 October, ready to take your portrait and a gallery of Wallpaper* Tweet Life pictures will be featured at Wallpaper.com
Christie's is pleased to announce Wallpaper*, one of the world's most important design and style magazines, as the official media partner for Multiplied. A publication that is constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity, highlighting emerging talents and rising stars, Wallpaper* is the ideal partner to the only contemporary editions fair to be staged in the UK.
Neat Tweet
As Twitter inspired Wallpaper* Tweet Life, it's only right that we continue to value the short, sharp 140 character message.

Christie's Education Events Programme: Spread the Word – A popular spirit...
A popular voice and spirit of communication have been given a central place in this year's Multiplied art fair. Christie's Education London is delighted to host a range of interactive sessions designed to navigate and explore the Fair. There are opportunities to talk about art, make your own and find ways to collect it.
Tours
We are collaborating with the Arts Council and their Own Art project to lead a series of daily tours of the fair. These will take you through some of the highlights of exhibited art works, stopping to introduce participating gallerists, publishers and print specialists. Own Art is Arts Council England's interest free loan scheme designed to make it easy and affordable for everyone to buy contemporary works of art. The scheme is available through a network of nearly 300 Own Art member galleries across England and Scotland. The Own Art tours will incorporate some of the Own Art member galleries exhibiting at the fair; this is a great opportunity to hear personal insights from gallery owners and see an overview of their range of affordable editions as well as find out about 'up and coming' artists to watch out for.

Print Gocco Workshops
Make your very own Print Gocco screenprint with Xtina Lamb from Printed Wonders.
A home printing system developed in 1977 by Noboru Hayama, this 1980's Japanese print phenomenon has developed a cult following in the indie-craft movement, prized for its ease of use and exuberant low-fi aesthetic. Resembling a toy, the system uses flash bulbs, an emulsion coated screen and a carbon-based artwork or photocopy. When the bulbs are manually flashed, the carbon in the drawing or photocopy burns the screen, creating a stencil, from which multiple impressions can be printed. It's as easy as that!
Workshops take place in the Christie's Education Studio, with one of the weekend sessions geared especially for children (age 7-12).
You can also visit Xtina at the Printed Wonders stand in Gallery V where she'll be showcasing new editions by a selection of Gocco artists.
For further information about workshops and events please contact multipliedartfair@christies.com . A detailed schedule of events will be published online in early October. So watch this space.
Daily updates to the events schedule will be posted during the Fair on the information monitor near Reception. Alternatively you can contact multipliedartfair@christies.com for more information.
